A turning of the page in the middleweight division happened in the main event. Joe Pyfer (16-3 MMA, 7-1 UFC) got the most defining win of his career when he scored a second-round TKO of former longtime champion Israel Adesanya (24-6 MMA, 13-6 UFC), who has now lost four consecutive bouts.

Chiesa’s submission victories in UFC competition are fifth-most in company history behind Charles Oliveira (17), Jim Miller (13), Gerald Meerschaert (11) and Nate Diaz (10).
