The octagon touches down in Seattle for just the fifth time in promotional history on Saturday with UFC Fight Night 271 from Climate Pledge Arena (Paramount+).

Former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya (24-5 MMA, 13-5 UFC) headlines the card, and he is in dire need of a victory after losing his past three. Standing his way will be the surging Joe Pyfer (15-3 MMA, 6-1 UFC), who seeks the biggest win of his career.

Adesanya is one of 14 undisputed middleweight champions in UFC history. He’s the only one in the group to have two separate title reigns.

Adesanya’s eight victories in UFC middleweight title fights are second-most in history behind Anderson Silva (11).

Adesanya’s three-fight losing skid is the longest of his combat sports career. He hasn’t earned a victory since April 2023.

Alexa Grasso (16-5-1 MMA, 8-5-1 UFC) is the only Mexican female champion in UFC history.

Grasso is one of three women’s flyweight champions in UFC history. Valentina Shevchenko and Nicco Montano also accomplished the feat.

Grasso’s three-fight series with Shevchenko is the only female trilogy bout in UFC history.

Grasso vs. Shevchenko at UFC Fight Night 227 is one of six championship fights in modern UFC history to end in a draw.

Grasso’s three-fight winless skid is the longest of his career. She hasn’t earned a victory since March 2023.

Maycee Barber’s (15-2 MMA, 10-2 UFC) seven-fight UFC winning streak at women’s flyweight is the second-longest active streak in the weight class behind Natalia Silva (eight).

Barber’s nine victories in UFC women’s flyweight competition are tied with Katlyn Cerminara for most in divisional history behind Valentina Shevchenko (12).

Barber is 9-2 since she moved up to the UFC women’s flyweight division in March 2019.

Barber’s three knockout victories in UFC women’s flyweight competition are tied with Manon Fiorot for second-most in divisional history behind Shevchenko (four).

Michael Chiesa vs. Niko Price

Michael Chiesa (21-7 MMA, 14-7 UFC) is 7-3 since he moved up to the welterweight division in December 2018.

Chiesa’s seven submission victories via rear-naked choke in UFC competition are tied with Kenny Florian for second-most in company history behind Demian Maia (nine).

Chiesa has completed at least one takedown against 18 of his 21 UFC opponents.

Chiesa absorbs 1.16 significant strikes per minute in UFC welterweight competition, the second-lowest rate in divisional history behind Pete Spratt (1.04).

Niko Price’s (16-10 MMA, 8-10 UFC) three-fight losing skid is the longest of his career. He hasn’t earned a victory since June 2024.

Price is 1-5 in his past six fights dating back to December 2022.

Price is one of three fighters in UFC history to earn a knockout stemming from an upkick. He accomplished the feat at UFC on ESPN+ 19. Jon Fitch and Irene Alana also won with the technique.

Price has earned two of the six knockout victories in UFC history stemming from the bottom position. He accomplished the feat at UFC on ESPN+ 19 and UFC Fight Night 133.

Price has earned one of four knockouts in UFC history stemming from punches from bottom position. Kevin Holland, Paul Craig and Cameron Saaiman also accomplished the feat.

Julian Erosa vs. Lerryan Douglas

Julian Erosa (30-12 MMA, 9-8 UFC) is 8-4 since he returned to the UFC for a third stint in June 2020.

Chase Hooper (16-4-1 MA, 8-4 UFC) is 5-1 since he moved up to the lightweight division in May 2023.

Lance Gibson Jr. (9-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC), son of UFC 24 and UFC 29 veteran Lance Gibson, is one of three second-generation fighters in company history. Randy Couture/Ryan Couture and Gilbert Smith/Elijah Smith were the others.

Marcin Tybura vs. Tyrell Fortune

Marcin Tybura (27-10 MMA, 14-9 UFC) competed in his 24th UFC heavyweight bout, tied for the fourth-most appearances in divisional history behind Andrei Arlovski (42), Derrick Lewis (31) and Frank Mir (27).

Tybura’s 14 victories in UFC heavyweight competition are tied for fifth-most in divisional history behind Arlovski (23), Lewis (20), Mir (16) and Junior Dos Santos (15).

Tybura’s eight decision victories in UFC heavyweight competition are second-most in divisional history behind Arlovski (12).

Tybura has landed 1,694 total strikes in UFC heavyweight competition, the second-most in divisional history behind Arlovski (1,907).

Casey O’Neill vs. Gabriella Fernandes

Casey O’Neill (10-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC) returns to competition for the first time since Aug. 17, 2024. It marks the longest layoff of her nearly seven-year career.

O’Neill lands 7.89 significant strikes per minute in UFC competition, the highest rate in women’s flyweight history and third-highest overall in company history behind Joshua Van (8.84) and Esteban Ribovics (8.08).

Ricky Simon vs. Adrian Yanez

Ricky Simon (22-6 MMA, 10-5 UFC) has landed 47 takedowns in UFC bantamweight competition, the second most in divisional history behind Merab Dvalishvili (106).

Adrian Yanez (17-6 MMA, 6-3 UFC) lands 6.19 significant strikes in UFC bantamweight competition, the second-highest rate among active fighters in the weight class behind Victor Henry (7.17).
