UFC full fight video: Relive Josh Emmett’s brutal KO of Bryce Mitchell

Josh Emmett returns this week to headline a UFC show for the fifth time in his career.

Emmett (19-6 MMA, 10-6 UFC) takes on highly touted featherweight prospect Kevin Vallejos (17-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) on Saturday in the UFC Fight Night 269 main event at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas, and he no doubt will be hoping to change the storyline of most of his headlining work.

Emmett is just 1-3 in his four previous UFC main events. Nearly four years ago in Austin, Texas, he outworked Calvin Kattar for a split decision that gave him five straight wins – and an eventual interim title shot his next time out.

Emmett had his streak snapped by Yair Rodriguez in that fight, and it started his current rough stretch of four setbacks in his past five fights – including a Fight of the Night loss to current lightweight champion Ilia Topuria in a main event.

But the one win in the middle of his skid was one that appeared to be highly satisfying – particularly in the way he stood over the top of an unconscious Bryce Mitchell screaming his pleasure at the knockout of a nazi sympathizer less than two minutes into UFC 296. He got an extra $50,000 for it, too.

Ahead of Emmett’s Saturday return against Vallejos, relive his stellar knockout of Mitchell in the video above.
