  • Record: 29-7 MMA, 16-7 UFC

  • Misc.: Strickland has been on the shelf for the past year after he dropped a middleweight title rematch to then-champion Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 312. He got that shot on the basis of just one win after he dropped the title to DDP in 2024: a split call over Paulo Costa.

Main event: Anthony Hernandez

  • Record: 15-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC

  • Opponent: Sean Strickland (29-7 MMA, 16-7 UFC)

  • Key wins: Roman Dolidze, Brendan Allen, Michel Pereira, Roman Kopylov

  • Misc.: With eight straight wins, “Fluffy” was set to fight Reinier de Ridder this past October, but pulled out with an injury. A win over an ex-champ in Strickland almost certainly would put Hernandez next in line a title shot against champion Khamzat Chimaev.

Co-main event: Uros Medic

Uros Medic, UFC Fight Night 264

  • Record: 12-3 MMA, 6-3 UFC

  • Opponent: Geoff Neal (16-7 MMA, 8-5 UFC)

  • Key wins: Muslim Salikhov, Gilbert Urbina, Tim Means

  • Misc.: After the quickest loss of his career, a 31-second KO loss to Puna Soriano 13 months a go, Medic bounced back with consecutive first-round finishes. And in a wild coincidence, his knockouts of Urbina and Salikhov both came from straight lefts, and just 63 seconds into each fight.

Co-main event: Geoff Neal

.

.

  • Record: 16-7 MMA, 8-5 UFC

  • Opponent: Uros Medic (12-3 MMA, 6-3 UFC)

  • Key wins: Rafael dos Anjos, Vicente Luque, Santiago Ponzinibbio, Belal Muhammad

  • Misc.: After a 5-0 start to his UFC run, Neal has struggled against the next tier at 170 pounds with a 3-5 stretch this decade. The losses, though, have come to the division’s elite: Stephen Thompson, Neil Magny, Shavkat Rakhmonov, Ian Machado Garry and, most recently, Carlos Prates – the only first-round loss of his career.

UFC debut: Josiah Harrell

.

.

  • Opponent: Jacobe Smith (11-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC)

  • Misc.: Nearly three years after he was supposed to debut in the UFC against future champ Jack Della Maddalena, Harrell finally will step into the octagon Saturday. Ahead of his planned debut in 2023, a brain issue was discovered. The fact Harrell got surgery for that and is healthy enough to fight – 4-0 since his return – is pretty miraculous.
