The UFC White House card is drawing near with June 14 only a few weeks away, and the promotion is expected to start building the massive structure on the south lawn that will house the fights for a very rare outdoor event.
On Saturday, the UFC released two new renderings for the planned setup that includes “the claw” — a giant structure that was actually built in Europe before being transported to the United States for the card. The setup serves as a lighting structure and cover going over the octagon but still allows for Dana White’s ultimate plan — to feature the White House as the backdrop for every fight.
The audience for the fights, which is expected to seat around 4,000 people, is going to be made up of military members and invited guests from the UFC and those selected by President Donald Trump.

While fans can’t just attend the historic event, the UFC built a massive viewing party at the Ellipse next door to the White House where the fights are going to be shown on huge big screens.
The UFC also released a look at how the fan fest is going to be setup for the event with more than 70,000 people expected to attend.
The UFC White House card features seven fights in total with reigning lightweight champion Ilia Topuria facing interim champion Justin Gaethje in a title unification bout. The co-main event features an interim heavyweight title fight between Ciryl Gane and Alex Pereira, who is moving up in weight in an attempt to become the first ever three-division champion in UFC history.
