LAS VEGAS – Iwo Baraniewski thinks it’s time to step into the deep end of the pool talent in the UFC’s light heavyweight division.
Baraniewski (9-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC), a rising contender in the UFC, would like to test his skills against a ranked opponent following yet another quick win in the octagon. The Polish fighter quickly dismantled veteran Junior Tafa (7-6 MMA, 3-6 UFC) on the main card of UFC Fight Night 278Â on Saturday at the Meta APEX. Baraniewski needed less than 90 seconds to get the job done.

“I would like to fight with somebody from top 15,” Baraniewski said at the UFC Fight Night 278 post-fight press conference. “I don’t have an opponent, but I want somebody from top 15.”
All of Baraniewski’s nine wins have all come by stoppage in the first round. He was hoping to get some cage time this time around, but that’s just not how things presented for him.
“Yes, I want, I want. I would like to fight three rounds, but it is what it is. I saw the occasion, I take it,” Baraniewski said.
Despite not getting exactly what he wanted at UFC Fight Night 278, Baraniewski will take the quick win. At the end of the day, it just furthers his dangerous reputation in the cage.

“It’s a very good feeling because it’s nine fights, nine in the first round, so I built the legend.”
