Coach Brad Brownell’s Clemson Tigers closed out another unbeaten week on Saturday, making them one of just two ACC basketball teams to start 6-0 in conference play.
Clemson (16-3 overall) never trailed in a 69-59 win over the Miami Hurricanes on Saturday at Littlejohn Coliseum. Carter Welling scored a season-high 18 points, Jestin Porter added 11, and the Tigers won their ninth straight game by taking down a Miami (15-3) team that had won 10 straight entering the weekend.

Clemson’s defense held Miami to its lowest points total of the season. The Hurricanes shot 39 percent from the field and were just six of 24 from 3-point range.
The Tigers’ win over Miami followed a 74-50 blowout victory over Boston College last Tuesday at Littlejohn Coliseum. Nick Davidson scored a game-high 25 points, including 21 points in a row, in the Tigers’ rout of the Eagles.
The Duke Blue Devils (17-1, 6-0) are the only other remaining unbeaten team in ACC play through three weeks.
