When it comes to the 2026 college football recruiting class, no school is as dominant currently as the USC Trojans. In a new conference under head coach Lincoln Riley, their recruiting stays strong.

Bringing in elite talent from all over the country, they have found another top recruit to head to Southern California.
Formerly committed to the South Carolina Gamecocks, four-star cornerback Peyton Dyer has now committed to the Trojans, while sending a stern message.
“Now that I’m a part of the real USC, I’m ready to work and build something special,” said Dyer, taking a slight jab saying the Trojans are the real USC opposed to the Gamecocks.

He is now the third cornerback commit in the Trojans’ 2026 recruiting class, ranking third behind four-stars Elbert Hill and Brandon Lockhart.
Riley has definitely been going all out on his recruiting tactics, attempting to get the best talent from all over the country to choose USC over other top programs.

His flashy welcome for recruits, commits, and official visits made headlines, and clearly leaves a lasting impression, as lots of these players choose USC after being wowed by their welcome.
It would be surprising to see the Trojans take their feet off the gas in trying to hit historic numbers in their 2026 class. Now with 28 commits, they are in the drivers seat comfortably in their goal of getting the best recruiting class.
Now, his strong recruiting efforts need to translate on the field. After a very disappointing season in 2024, they will need to answer the call with authority if they are to keep bringing in this high end talent.
