EVANSVILLE — The University of Southern Indiana women’s basketball team will be on the road Tuesday evening to face the Indiana Hoosiers.
The Screaming Eagles, who won the Ohio Valley Conference’s regular season and tournament titles last winter, are 7-1 on the year and ride a six-game win streak. Ali Saunders (13.4 PPG), Vanessa Shafford (12.4) and Meredith Raley (12.4) help lead one of the OVC’s top offenses. Triniti Ralston (9.3 PPG, 3.3 RPG) is also a consistent playmaker for the Eagles.

An NCAA Sweet 16 finalist from last season, Indiana is 5-3 this winter. Yarden Garzon (13.8 PPG), Lilly Meister (11.6), Shay Ciezky (11.0) and Chloe Moore-McNeil (10.9) all average double-digit scoring for the Hoosiers while Meister also averages a team-best 6.8 boards per game. One of the Hoosiers’ top players, Sydney Parrish, injured her left leg against Baylor in the Battle 4 Atlantis on Nov. 23.
