Valter Walker has put out a public call for a fight against his brother Johnny Walker in the UFC, challenging him to move up to his division.

The Brazilian fighter appeared at Karate Combat 59 in Miami, where he secured a quick submission win over Zion Clark. Straight after the fight, he began pushing for a bout with his older brother.

While Johnny is six years older and already well-known in the UFC, his recent results at light-heavyweight have been inconsistent. Valter wants him to step up to heavyweight, where they could finally face each other.

After his quick win over Zion Clark, Valter Walker wasted no time in calling out his next opponent – even if it happened to be his own brother. He mentioned he wanted Johnny by his side in Miami, but claimed family matters kept him away.

It’s easy to read it as a joke, but Valter spoke with conviction, doubling down on his callout during the post-fight interview.

Karate Combat president Asim Zaidi tried to line up the bout for their March 28th event in Russia. But Valter seemed focused on making it happen inside the UFC instead.

“I’m really upset because I called my brother to come here with me and he didn’t come,” Valter said after the fight. “Look, Johnny isn’t here. I want to crush him! I have a kind of strange relationship with my brother now.”

“I want to finish him off, I want to break his foot. I want to bring Johnny here and show him who the real Walker is… Everyone knows he has to ask his wife for permission. If his wife lets him, we’ll fight. I don’t care where – show me the money and I’ll kill everyone and destroy everything.”

“This is just the beginning. I’ll beat him here and in the UFC too,” he added. “I’m just getting started. Come to heavyweights kid [Valter is six years younger]. I’ll show you who the real heavyweight is.”

Valter and Johnny Walker already have fights scheduled

It’s a fight that would catch the attention of many, but both brothers are already tied up with upcoming bouts. Johnny is set to face Dominick Reyes at UFC 327 in Miami this April, while Valter is scheduled to return a few weeks before that.

Valter, riding a streak of four straight wins by heel hook, is booked to fight Marcin Tybura on March 28 at UFC Seattle. But if both men keep winning and the rivalry keeps building, a brother vs brother matchup could be hard for the UFC to ignore.
