Vice TV releases new documentary ‘Calipari: Razor’s Edge.’ Here’s how to watch

Fans or foes of John Calipari have the chance to catch up with the legendary coach in a new six-part documentary.

If you’ve missed seeing Calipari around since he left Kentucky basketball after the 2023-24 season, this new documentary, “Calipari: Razor’s Edge” will fill you in.

The show, produced for Vice TV by Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions, closely chronicles Calipari’s first season as head coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks men’s basketball team.

The first episode premiered Feb. 10 with hour-long episodes dropping each Monday now through March 17.

A trailer for “Calipari: Razor’s Edge” calls Coach Cal’s next chapter “the biggest story in college hoops.” Read on for more details about the documentary and how to watch.

After coaching at the University of Kentucky for 15 seasons, Calipari’s move to Arkansas marked a big change for one of most decorated coaches in college basketball history.

The documentary follows that change-up, including a look at “the winding road that landed him in Fayetteville,” according to a news release announcing the documentary.

Viewers can also expect to see a blend of “unprecedented behind-the-scenes access, audio-enhanced footage, and exclusive interviews to provide an intimate look as the Hall of Fame coach works to achieve the Razorbacks’ full potential in an ultra-competitive SEC.”

Ahead of their Wednesday match-up against No. 1-ranked Auburn, the Razorbacks have a 15-10 record overall and are 4-8 in the SEC.

“We’re not one of the better teams right now,” Calipari can be heard saying in the doc’s trailer. “It takes time.”

As time ticks along, much of the season will be captured over the six episodes of “Calipari: Razor’s Edge.”

That includes Calipari’s recent, high-profile return to Rupp Arena, where his Arkansas team bested the Wildcats 89-79.

“I think what many will find compelling in this series is the opportunity to get a true behind the scenes view of our program,” Calipari said in the release. “As they tune in, they will get to know our coaches, our players and experience the passion of the Razorback fans as we navigate my first year in Fayetteville. Every season has its own journey, and we’ve invited viewers to come along for the ride.”
