Round and round Kaik Brito goes. Where he stopped was nothing short of gold.

In the OKTAGON 84 main event Saturday, Brito (19-6) won the promotion’s vacant welterweight title with a flashy-yet-effective barrage of fight-finishing strikes on opponent Ronald Paradeiser (23-10). The stoppage came at 1:18 of Round 3.

Brazil’s Brito first stunned Slovak Republic’s Paradeiser with a spinning back elbow. Though Paradeiser tried to keep a good poker face, it wasn’t good enough. Brito pursued the finish, which he got when he connected with a whipping spinning backfist. Paradeiser crumpled and some follow-up punches came next.
