Tennessee football wide receiver Chris Brazzell was arrested and charged on Friday, Aug. 8 for driving with a suspended license and speeding.
According to Knox News, part of the USA TODAY Network, the police report noted that the Brazzell was pulled over for driving 60 mph in a 35 mph zone across the Henley Street Bridge in downtown Knoxville near the Volunteers campus.

The report continues to note that Brazzell was arrested due to having a “history of not appearing for court.” It also mentions that he showed the officer who pulled him over his passport, as he did not have his license on him. The reason for this was that the junior wide receiver, who is from Midland, Texas, had his license suspended for failing to appear in court in Blount County, Tennessee on Aug. 15 of last year.
Brazzell finished third among Tennessee’s wide receivers last season in receiving yards at 333 yards and two touchdowns on 29 receptions.

Coming off a 10-3 season, Tennessee came in at No. 18 in the preseason US LBM Coaches Poll. The Volunteers are scheduled to open up the season against Syracuse on Aug. 30 in the Aflac Kickoff in Atlanta at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
