VOTE: Enterprise Brockton-area High School Female Athlete of the Week

The winter high school sports season has begun, and that means it’s time to bring back the Enterprise Athlete of the Week polls.

Nominees are chosen from our top performers stories, as well as nominations sent in by coaches and others. Votes are unlimited and polls will remain open for a week before closing.

Below are the candidates for the first Enterprise Brockton-area Female Athlete of the Week for the 2024-25 winter season.

Leah McCarty, Stoughton basketball

McCarty posted a big double-double in a 56-39 win against Sharon, scoring a game-high 22 points and added 18 rebounds.

Raine Tat, Stoughton basketball

Tat scored 13 points and had 7 boards in a 56-41 loss to Milford.

Layla Rivera, Brockton basketball

Rivera filled up the stat sheet, scoring 17 points, adding 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals in a 49-29 win over New Mission.

Avery Gamble, Oliver Ames basketball

Gamble scored 26 points, and was 9-for-9 from the free-throw line in a 60-53 win over Franklin, had 22 in the Tigers’ 59-57 loss to King Philip, and 21 in a 49-44 win over Mansfield.

Maeve Horsman, Oliver Ames basketball

Scored 18 points and added 8 rebounds in a loss to King Philip.

Camden Strandberg, Bridgewater-Raynham basketball

Scored a double double (15 points, 10 rebounds) in a 43-24 win over Wellesley.

Savvy Eriksen, Abington basketball

Scored 20 of Abington’s 39 points in a win over Holbrook.

Jenna Oman, East Bridgewater basketball

Oman scored 13 points in the Vikings’ victory over Rockland.

Grace Polen, West Bridgewater basketball

Polen had 7 rebounds and 3 blocks, also adding 6 points in West Bridgewater’s loss to Seekonk.

Votes are unlimited. Voting closes on Monday, Dec. 30 at noon. Emailed votes will not be counted.
