Vote for Landmark Fine Homes high school football athlete of the week for Dec. 8-14

The Oklahoman’s fall sport football player of the week poll for Dec. 8-14 presented by Landmark Fine Homes is now live at oklahoman.com.

Last week’s winner was Davis senior running back Brenden Rawls.

Voting is open until noon Saturday. Here are the nominees:

Trey Bennett, Sr., Woodland: The quarterback had five touchdowns, two passing and three on the ground, in Woodland’s 58-23 win over Talihina in the Class A-II championship game. Bennett completed 10 of 11 passes for 155 yards and ran for 100 yards.

Isaac Drake, Sr., Weleetka: He thrived in multiple roles as Weleetka beat Seiling 54-12 in the Class B-II championship game. Drake had 19 carries for 206 yards and three touchdowns, four receptions for 29 yards, a 4-yard touchdown pass, nine tackles, three tackles for loss and one sack.

Johnny Fernandez, Sr., Tipton: The running back had 21 carries for 106 yards and two touchdowns as Tipton beat Timberlake 28-20 for its third straight Class C title.

Noah Goodwin, Jr., Rejoice Christian: He had 19 carries for 91 yards and three touchdowns in Rejoice Christian’s 35-14 victory over Hooker in the Class A-I title game.

Ritson Meyer, Jr., Elgin: The running back had 42 carries for 230 yards and three touchdowns along with two receptions for 49 yards as Class 4A Elgin edged Tuttle 29-22 for its first state championship in football.

Devin Woodring, Sr., Carl Albert: The quarterback completed 6 of 10 passes for 122 yards and three scores and had eight carries for 26 yards as Carl Albert beat Guthrie 30-6 in the Class 5A title game, claiming its third straight championship and eighth out of the last nine seasons.
