The El Paso Times will honor high school athletes this year every week that you, the readers, help determine. We will be taking weekly nominations and will release a list of finalists for the El Paso Children’s Hospital High School Athlete of the Week at 7 a.m. each Tuesday.
Students in all varsity sports are eligible to be nominated. The poll will close at 3 p.m. each Thursday, and the winners will be announced Friday.

Here are this week’s nominees:

Jocelyn Castro, Riverside basketball. She scored 31 points vs. Chapin and 22 points vs. San Elizario.

Olivia White, Pebble Hills basketball. She scored 33 points in two wins for the Spartans.

Devin Falk-Ramirez, Eastwood basketball. He scored 37 points in two wins last week.

Elnathan Pieri, Jefferson basketball. He scored 26 in win vs. Cathedral.

Gianna Gulley, Andress basketball. She scored 45 points in two games last week.

Andruw Andujo, Austin boys basketball. He was named the Anthony Holiday Tournament MVP.

Richard Arellano, Riverside basketball, He scored 59 points in three games last week.

Joe Rodriguez, Bowie basketball. He scored 24 points in win vs. Tornillo.
