Sometimes you just do what you have to do in order to get a win, and that’s exactly how the Ohio State football team operated out in Seattle on the way to a road win in its first Big Ten game of the season against Washington Saturday.
The Buckeyes started very slowly on offense, but as the game progressed, and as the defense dictated things and kept the Washington offense pretty much on the shelf, Ohio State slowly began to find ways to move the ball and take advantage of opportunities, slowly sucking the life out of the Huskies en route to a 26-7 victory.

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day met with the media after the game and was visibly pleased, though not satisfied on where the team is as he spoke at the podium after the win. Day complimented the play of quarterback Julian Sayin and the defense, also said some good things about Washington, but also stressed the need for continued improvement, and more.

Ohio State will now head back home and prepare to take on a Minnesota team that will be well coached, looking to spring a huge upset next Saturday.
