At 1-1 on the young 2025 season, the Iowa Hawkeyes still control quite a bit of their destiny, despite the downtrodden rhetoric surrounding the team after a 16-13 loss to Iowa State, a team seeing projections to the College Football Playoff.
The Hawkeyes still have everything in front of them if they can rebound. One of those things, and a goal of Iowa‘s, is a postseason bowl bid. Iowa has been a staple in bowl season and hopes 2025 is no different. The recent bowl projections are still bullish on Iowa playing an extra game, but who it is against and where remain in flux.

The latest bowl projections have begun to settle Iowa into a few different bowls, with opponents shuffling. In this week’s roundup, Iowa has drawn some fun games. The Hawkeyes are projected to have a matchup against a high-flying offense from one outlet, while another matchup aims to set the record for the highest combined age of head coaches.
