Georgia women’s basketball (3-0) closes its season-opening, four-game homestand with Georgia State (1-2) coming across the way Thursday night.
The Lady Bulldogs have had a successful first week of the season, despite missing four players — Savannah Henderson, Nyah Leveretter, Fatima Diakhate and, most recently, Mia Woolfolk. There is no timeline for return or details on injuries for any of the four. Woolfolk led in the season opener with 18 points.
Trinity Turner is stamping her name on the program early, already developing a signature “snake eyes” move that the other women are encouraging and adjusting to. She is the first freshman since Tasha Humphrey in 2004 to open her collegiate career with three consecutive double-figure scoring games.
