BATON ROUGE – Last time LSU women’s basketball played a game away from the friendly confines of the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, it lost.
Now that loss was at No. 2 South Carolina by just 10 points and since, the No. 5 Tigers (23-1, 8-1 SEC) have ripped off three straight victories at home against Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Mississippi State to remain in second place in the SEC standings.
Kim Mulkey and company venture back out on the road to take on Missouri (12-12, 1-8) inside the Mizzou Arena Thursday night.
LSU will have to contend with sophomore guard Grace Slaughter, who leads Mizzou in scoring at 14.8 points per game. She ranks inside the top 10 in field goal percentage at 49.2% in the league as well as a 45.5% hit rate on 3-pointers.
Mikaylah Williams has been on tear for LSU of late. LSU’s sophomore sensation has 59 points in her last two games, including a season-high 37 points against Okalhoma.
