LSU women’s basketball’s coaching staff was not pleased with how the team played its last time out.
The No. 5 Tigers defeated Louisiana, 85-57, inside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. But LSU’s execution was poor on both ends of the floor and its mentality was not where it needed to be, according to associate head coach Bob Starkey after the game Sunday afternoon.
And Starkey warned LSU (12-0) could get stretched by Seton Hall (8-2) at the Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase Tuesday night at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, if it’s not careful.
Seton Hall has played one other ranked team in the early going this season, losing to then No. 7 USC, 84-51.
The Pirates are led by senior forward Faith Masonius, who scored 17 points per game and was a transfer from Maryland. Seton Hall has a solid inside-out combo though with Masonius and guard Savannah Catalon.
