Florida basketball will face South Carolina on Wednesday night in the first of two regular-season matchups with the Gamecocks.

The No. 6 Florida Gators (16-2, 3-2 SEC) are coming off an 84-60 home win over Texas on Saturday. UF is off to its best start to a season since starting the 2013-14 campaign 16-2, a year that ended with the Gators reaching the Final Four for the fifth time in program history.

South Carolina (10-8, 0-5) has dropped five straight and is seeking its first conference win.

Florida will host South Carolinaon Feb. 15, marking the first regular season home-and-home series between the two schools since 2018. Florida is 48-29 all-time against South Carolina, but the Gamecocks won the last meeting, knocking off UF 82-76 in Columbia, S.C.., on March 2, 2024.

“They’re going to be geared up and ready to go,” Florida basketball coach Todd Golden said. “I think them beating us at their place last year will give them some confidence, and we’ll have to go up there and be really competitive.”

Florida and South Carolina are slated to tip off at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday from the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, S.C. (capacity 18,000).
