The Big Ten women’s basketball tournament runs today through Sunday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

USC earned the No. 1 seed by winning the regular-season conference championship. UCLA, Ohio State and Maryland also earned double-byes and do not have to play until Friday. A champion will be crowned Sunday, and that team earns an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, which begins March 19 with First Four action.

Fifteen of the conference’s 18 teams earned spots in the event. Purdue, Northwestern and Penn State trailed the conference standings and will not participate.

Iowa, Caitlin Clark won 2024 Big Ten women’s basketball tournament

Iowa defeated Nebraska 94-89 in overtime to claim the 2024 Big Ten women’s basketball tournament championship. Caitlin Clark scored 34 points and had 12 assists, seven rebounds and three steals. Clark was drafted No. 1 overall by the Indiana Fever in the 2024 WNBA Draft, and she won Rookie of the Year honors while being voted to first-team All-WNBA.
