Where Colorado football ranks in US LBM Coaches Poll after blowout loss to Houston

by

Colorado football remains unranked in the USA TODAY US LBM Coaches Poll following Week 3 of the 2025 season.

The Buffaloes are 1-2 through three weeks after a brutal loss to the Houston Cougars to open up Big 12 Conference play. It was the second disappointing loss in three weeks following a missed opportunity to win their season opener against Georgia Tech (now ranked No. 19 in the country). Overall, it has been an extremely disappointing and uninspired start to the season for Deion Sanders’ squad.

Only three Big 12 programs make this week’s coaches poll after five made last week’s top 25. Those are Iowa State (No. 13), Texas Tech (No. 16) and Utah (No. 18). BYU, No. 25 last week, fell out after being idle, while Arizona State fell out despite dominating Texas State at home. The Cougars and Sun Devils are the de facto No. 26 and No. 27 teams in this week’s poll, respectively.

TCU, Baylor, Houston, and Kansas are the four Big 12 teams receiving votes.

The biggest moves this week are Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt moving into the poll after being unranked a week ago. Notre Dame and South Carolina fell 13 and 14 spots, marking the week’s most significant drops.

Here is an extended look at the full top 25:
