The Wisconsin Badgers finished the class of 2025 recruiting cycle, Luke Fickell’s second full cycle as head coach, ranked No. 25 in the nation and No. 8 in the expanded Big Ten.
The 23-player class saw many notable recruiting wins, including four-star LB Mason Posa, four-star iOL Hardy Watts, four-star QB Carter Smith and four-star DL Jaylen Williams. Overall, the group is an impressive follow-up after the program finished the 2024 cycle with a top-25 class and a blue-chip ratio of 50%.

There are some reasons for a measured reaction, however. The most significant is the most recent transfer cycle, one which saw numerous of Wisconsin’s class of 2023 and 2024 signees depart. The current age of college football puts almost as much of a premium on player retention as it does on player acquisition. While the Badgers’ class of 2025 finished in a strong position, it’s hard to maintain excitement about the output until the players actually see the field. Even then, as seen with the recent Xavier Lucas saga, a full career with the program isn’t a given.
Still, with today being the official national signing day for the class of 2025, it’s time for a final check-in to see where every Wisconsin signee finished the cycle ranked. The Badgers had already inked their entire class during the early signing period. This is now a final look at how the recruiting industry views each of the program’s incoming freshmen.
Here is where 247Sports ranks every Wisconsin signee (those listed in bold are the program’s early enrollees):
