Vermont women’s basketball and Albany will battle for the second time in three years for the America East Conference championship.

Second seed Vermont (20-12) heads to No. 1 Albany (26-5) for the league title showdown set for 5 p.m. Friday. The Catamounts defeated Albany at home for the 2023 conference crown.

Vermont reached its third straight final after rolling past Bryant 62-45 in Monday’s semifinals. The Great Danes outlasted Maine in their semifinal.

During the regular season, Vermont and Albany each won on their home floor for the split: 64-55 Albany on Jan. 2; 59-50 Vermont on Feb. 8.
