The Wisconsin Badgers‘ volleyball team is set to open the 2026 season with one of the biggest possible tests.

Wisconsin enters the season ranked No. 6 in the AVCA preseason poll, while Kentucky comes in at No. 3. Wisconsin will take on Kentucky on Friday night at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee as part of the AVCA First Serve event.

The matchup is an early-season rematch of last year’s NCAA national semifinal, when Kentucky defeated Wisconsin in five sets to advance to the national championship match. Now, the Badgers will get another opportunity against one of the nation’s top teams to begin their 2026 campaign.
