Tennessee beat South Florida 101-66 in the first round of the NCAA tournament at Schottenstein Center on Friday to advance. The No. 5 seed Lady Vols (23-9) will play No. 4 seed Ohio State (26-6) on Sunday (8 p.m. ET, ESPN). The Buckeyes beat No. 13 seed Montana State 71-51 in the first game of the day to advance.
Talaysia Cooper led the Lady Vols with 20 points, six rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals on Friday. Samara Spencer added 15 points, five assists and two steals. Tennessee hit 16 3-pointers, setting a program record for 3-pointers made in an NCAA tournament game.
