It’s been two years too long since UConn’s Azzi Fudd played in the NCAA women’s tournament.

Fudd didn’t show any rust from missing all but the first two games of last season with a torn ACL in her right knee, and posted 21 points in the first half. Her presence on the floor helped UConn build a 50-point lead in Saturday’s first round matchup against No. 15 Arkansas State.

Fudd shot 8-for-11 on field goals and was 4-for-7 from the 3-point line.
