Belal Muhammad’s time as welterweight champion came to an end at UFC 315, and it went down in the form of a bloody and damage-heavy loss to Jack Della Maddalena.
Muhammad (24-4 MMA, 15-4 UFC) put on a five-round war with Della Maddalena (18-2 MMA, 8-0 UFC) at Bell Centre in Montreal, falling short by unanimous decision and seeing his reign at 170 pound end without a single title defense.
Although it seems like a bleak moment for Muhammad, at 37, there are still compelling fights for him. And one in particular that has to happen.
