Why Vanderbilt football’s Clark Lea fasts three times a week during season

by

Clark Lea revealed on an interview on ESPN’s “College GameDay” that he fasts three times a week.

“There’s just certain things I need to be doing to take care of myself,” Lea said on the show Oct. 25. “And Monday, Wednesday and Friday are my commitment. And part of this too is like, I want the team to know that I’m willing to suffer as well. They put in so much to this. And so what are ways that I can show them that I’m taking the same hits for them, the same commitment that they are. It’s different because I don’t play anymore, and I think we’re all grateful for that, but just little things that I can do to show my commitment.”
