Alabama women’s basketball will not enter March Madness as a ranked team.
The Crimson Tide (23-10) slipped out of the USA TODAY Coaches Poll, the final one heading into the NCAA Tournament. Alabama was ranked No. 25 last week and earned 36 points, slipping past Notre Dame who moved into the rankings with 62 points in the voting.

The Crimson Tide ended the regular season with a seven-point loss to Texas and dropped five of their last six games. They proceeded to go 2-1 in the SEC Tournament, dropping the final game to Texas in a 23-point loss. Wins against Missouri and 6-seeded Tennessee wasn’t enough to stay in the rankings.
