Exeter Chiefs scrum-half Will Becconsall has agreed to join the Cornish Pirates on a permanent deal.
The 23-year-old recently completed his second loan spell at Mennaye Field and will now sign a full contract with the club.
Becconsall made his Chiefs debut in 2022 and went on to make more than 20 appearances.
“Will has had some tough luck with injuries the past couple of seasons,” Pirates joint head coach Gavin Cattle said., external
“He has a strong kicking game and has an old head on young shoulders; he has infectious energy that puts smiles on faces.”
Becconsall has made 13 appearances for the Pirates on loan and scored one try, which came last month against Chinnor.
“I’ve loved my time down here over the last couple of years and am really looking forward to the season ahead,” Becconsall added.
“The club has a great bunch of lads and a great fan base. I can’t wait to be playing rugby on home soil.”
The Pirates finished seventh in the recently completed Championship season, three positions lower than their fourth-placed finish last campaign.
