After winning her first national championship with the UConn Huskies, Paige Bueckers entered the WNBA as the No. 1 pick in the 2025 draft, joining the Dallas Wings.
Bueckers and the Wings went 1-1 in the preseason, with their lone win coming against Japan’s Toyota Antelopes. The rookie guard averaged 12.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.

Now, Bueckers will prepare for her first regular-season game as the Wings host Napheesa Collier and the Minnesota Lynx on Friday night. And Dallas could be returning a key player.
On Thursday, the Wings revealed that guard Tyasha Harris, after missing both preseason games with a knee injury, is probable against the Lynx. Harris suffered the injury in training camp prior to the preseason debut on May 2.
Center Luisa Geiselsöder, on the other hand, will be out due to overseas obligations.
Harris, a former South Carolina standout, was selected by Dallas with the No. 7 pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft. She spent three seasons with the Wings and was a key contributor off the bench.

Before the 2023 season, the Wings traded Harris to the Connecticut Sun as part of a three-team deal, receiving Natasha Howard and Kayla Thornton in return.
Harris continued to play a big part off the bench for the Sun in 2023, but last season, she earned a full-time starting position. In 28.8 minutes per game in 2024, Harris averaged 10.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists, all career-highs.

After the 2024 season, Harris was traded yet again as part of a four-team deal that included Alyssa Thomas, getting sent back to the Wings.
Bueckers and the Wings will host the Lynx at College Park Center on Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
