Wisconsin a finalist with Iowa, Michigan State and others for 2026 defensive line target

Wisconsin football class of 2026 defensive line target Jermaine Polk included the program in his list of finalists on Friday.

Polk, who received his offer from Luke Fickell’s program on April 12, listed the Badgers as a finalist alongside Iowa, Iowa State, Michigan State and Boston College. The Toledo, Ohio, native was the third UW defensive line target to include the program in his list of finalists on Friday, joining three-star Indiana native Kobe Cherry and four-star prospect McHale Blade.

247Sports considers the 6-foot-4 defensive lineman the No. 74-ranked player at his position and No. 25 player from Ohio for the class of 2026. He is slated to officially visit Boston College on May 30, UW on June 6, Iowa State on June 13 and Iowa on June 20.

While Polk’s landing spot remains somewhat of a mystery at this stage of the process, On3’s recruiting prediction machine considers Wisconsin the favorite to secure a commitment at 28.3%. Iowa State is next at 24.7%, then Boston College at 21.2% chance and Iowa at 13.4%.
