Earlier this offseason, the Wisconsin Badgers football program stated their trust and belief in head coach Luke Fickell, and he has turned around and shown, so far, on the recruiting trail, that it was worth it.
On Thursday afternoon, the Badgers picked up a commitment from 4-star offensive tackle Cole Reiter in the 2027 class, a big commitment from inside the state of Wisconsin. Reiter stands at 6-foot-7, 315 pounds, and is rated as the No. 155 overall player in the class. Reiter is also the No. 19 OT and the No. 3 player from the state.

This is the fifth commitment that Wisconsin has picked up in the 2027 class, where they now rank No. 27 in the nation. The Badgers also have pledges from the likes of 4-star TE Korz Loken, 3-star EDGE Isaac Miller, 3-star safety Dustin Roach, and 3-star OT Ethan McIntosh.
After a tough season in 2026 where they went just 4-8, and 2-7 in the Big Ten, there were questions about whether or not Fickell would stay on as the head coach. However, the athletic department vowed to rally around him, and early on, it looks like he is doing a good job of building up the program.
