Wisconsin football extended an offer to coveted class of 2027 defensive lineman Nate Kamba on Thursday.
Kamba becomes the third highly-ranked class of 2027 target to receive an offer from the Badgers over the past few days, joining four-star wide receiver Javien Robinson, five-star tight end Ahmad Hudson and four-star tight end Jaxon Dollar. Kamba is the tenth 2027 defensive lineman to earn an offer from UW and becomes the second-highest rated player on the program’s list of DL targets behind Jamarkus Pittman (Ole Miss commit).

Despite being a rising junior, the 6-foot-4, 300-pound defensive lineman has received over 10 offers thus far, including from Ohio State, Florida, Arkansas, South Carolina and North Carolina. Both 247Sports and On3/Rivals consider the 2027 product a four-star recruit.
Specifically, 247Sports ranks him as the No. 79 overall player, the No. 5 defensive lineman and the No. 3 player from his home state of North Carolina for the class of 2027. During his sophomore season at Corvian Community High School, Kamba logged 79 total tackles, 26.5 for loss and 8.0 sacks.
As of July 25, neither 247Sports nor On3/Rivals has assigned a leading program in Kamba’s recruiting journey. On3/Rivals’ recruiting prediction machine considers South Carolina the slight favorite with a 12.1% chance to land his commitment and North Carolina the No. 2 suitor at 10.6%.

All focus for the Badgers still lies on its class of 2026. Wisconsin’s 14-player class now ranks No. 60 nationally following high-three-star defensive back Zachary Taylor’s flip to TCU.
