Class of 2026 defensive lineman Damari Simeon included the Wisconsin Badgers in his list of finalists on Sunday.
The Badgers are part of an impressive final group of suitors, along with Michigan, Tennessee, Penn State, Texas, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Duke, Texas A&M and Syracuse.
247Sports has yet to award a star rating to the Richland, New Jersey, native. He is, however, listed as a three-star prospect by On3 (No. 373 player in the class, No. 40 defensive lineman) and a four-star by Rivals (No. 240 in the class, No. 14 defensive lineman).
Simeon has yet to receive an official commitment prediction from any of the major recruiting services. For what it’s worth, On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine lists Penn State as the current favorite at 31.2%, Duke next at 18.5%, Notre Dame third at 15.8% and Wisconsin tied for fourth at 6.9%.
Wisconsin is ramping up its efforts in the class of 2026. The program is looking to replicate its top 25 finishes in both the 2024 and 2025 cycles. As of Feb. 10, only three-star offensive lineman Benjamin Novak is committed to the Badgers’ 2026 class.
Wisconsin is in contention with several blue-blood programs to land Simeon. Given the interest from those top programs, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he rockets up the national rankings as the spring and summer continue.
