Wisconsin men’s basketball’s 2025-26 non-conference schedule is official — and includes some familiar faces.
High-major opponents on the schedule include BYU on Nov. 21 in Salt Lake City, Marquette on Dec. 6 at the Kohl Center and Villanova on Dec. 19 at Fiserv Forum, along with two teams from the 2025 Rady’s Children Invitational. The tournament, taking place on Nov. 27-28 in San Diego, also includes Florida, Providence and TCU.

The Salt Lake City game will be a rematch of Wisconsin’s second-round March Madness loss to BYU in March. The Badgers will seek their fourth win in the last five years against Marquette in the annual rivalry.

Wisconsin will play exhibition games on Oct. 24 against Oklahoma at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee and on Oct. 29 against UW-Platteville at the Kohl Center. UW-Platteville’s head coach, Jeff Gard, is Wisconsin coach Greg Gard’s brother.
The Badgers’ regular-season opener will be Nov. 3 against Campbell. Other home games at the Kohl Center include Northern Illinois on Nov. 7, Ball State on Nov. 11, SIUE on Nov. 17, Central Michigan on Dec. 22 and UW-Milwaukee on Dec. 30.
The Big Ten has not yet announced the 2025-26 conference schedule. Teams coming to the Kohl Center on yet-to-be-announced dates in 2025-26 include Iowa, Maryland, Michigan State, Northwestern, Rutgers, UCLA, USC, Minnesota, Ohio State and Purdue.
Wisconsin’s 2025-26 Big Ten away opponents include Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Nebraska, Oregon, Penn State, Washington, Minnesota, Ohio State and Purdue.
