Chicago held on for a 97 to 92 victory despite Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale pouring in 37 points and rookie guard Paige Bueckers chipping in another 15 points and eight assists. Sky forward Kamilla Cardoso scored a career-high 23 points, and veteran guard Ariel Atkins added another 17.

2024 WNBA All-Star Angel Reese pitched in a well-rounded six points, nine rebounds and five assists in the win.

Early in the first quarter, Reese caught the ball at the high post and attacked the basket, slicing a pass between two Wings defenders to find Elizabeth Williams for an easy finish. The WNBA posted the clip on their social media and reacted to the pass.

“What a dime by Angel Reese 🤯 ,” the WNBA wrote. “She attacks the rim and dumps it off to Elizabeth Williams for the finish!”

Through five games, Reese is averaging 9.2 points and 13.0 rebounds per contest, which leads the entire WNBA. Her assist and steal numbers are both up from last year as well, contributing 2.8 assists and 1.6 steals per night in 2025.

Chicago will look to outlast the Wings on Saturday evening in their final game before the Commissioner’s Cup begins in June.

Their first matchup will be on June 7 against the Indiana Fever, which means they will have a week to recover before potentially playing a healthy Caitlin Clark.
