Indiana Fever forward DeWanna Bonner wowed fans this week with a powerful Instagram post and a standout performance during her first season with the team.

On Wednesday, Bonner shared a stylish photo of herself wearing a light blue romper and nude high heels. Her outfit, paired with long, flowing hair and stacked bracelets, but it was her message that stood out.
“I’m not even my best yet, I’m just better than I used to be 🖤,” she wrote.
Bonner’s post came after Indiana’s home 85-76 win over the Washington Mystics on Tuesday, where she contributed nine points in the first quarter. The Fever snapped a three-game losing streak and notched their first win without star guard Caitlin Clark, who’s sidelined with a quad injury.
However, Bonner was hit with a technical foul in the second quarter after a heated reaction to a call. Despite the setback, she kept her focus.

This is Bonner’s first year with Indiana, after signing a one-year contract in February 2025. At 6-foot-4, the six-time WNBA All-Star and two-time champion has already proven to be a key veteran presence on a young team full of rising stars like Aliyah Boston and Clark.

In just six games, she’s helped stabilize the lineup during tough stretches. In their first regular season meeting against the Mystics on May 28, she led all scorers with 21 points on just ten shots. That performance pushed her into WNBA history, making her the first player to record over 7,500 points, 3,000 rebounds and 1,000 assists.
Bonner is also known for expressing herself through fashion. Last weekend, she posted another outfit during the team’s game against the Connecticut Sun; a sleeveless yellow shirt with matching pants.

While the Fever’s record still needs work, Bonner’s attitude and performance are showing younger teammates what it takes to stay grounded through the highs and lows of a season.
