While history was made Tuesday night at Cintas Center as Xavier pummeled Morgan State, 119-56, one cloud that remained was the surprise that guard Trey Green was inactive.
Green did not dress for the Musketeers and spent the game in street clothes on the Xavier bench.
On Wednesday, Xavier head coach Sean Miller said Green will be taking an indefinite leave to address a health-related matter.
“We are disappointed that Trey won’t be on the court, but his health comes first,” Miller said in a statement. “Trey will have the full support of Xavier University and our basketball program.”
In nine games this season, Green is averaging 5 points while shooting 40% from the field. He was an All-Big East Freshman selection last season after appearing in 33 games off the bench.
