Yankees’ Aaron Judge ranks No. 2 in MLB Network’s ‘Top 100 Right Now’

by

MLB Network revealed the top 10 of its annual Top 100 Right Now list and Yankees captain Aaron Judge was near the top of the rankings.

Judge was named the No. 2 player in 2025, behind only the Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani after being ranked third in last year’s list. The Yankees outfielder won his second AL MVP award in two seasons after, incredibly, eclipsing his 2022 campaign where he broke the AL home run record when he hit 62 long balls.

He had a better batting average (.322), on-base percentage (458), slugging percentage (.701), OPS+ (223), with more walks (133) and total bases (392) than he did in 2022. He also launched an MLB-best 58 homers while helping the Yankees get to their first World Series since 2009.

Other Yankees to make MLB Network’s list include Gerrit Cole (No. 26), and offseason acquisitions Max Fried (No. 44), Cody Bellinger (No. 72), Devin Wiliams (No. 77) and Paul Goldschmidt (No. 91).

Here’s the top 10 of the 2025 MLB Network Top 100 list…
