Yankees catcher Ali Sanchez left Monday’s game against the Detroit Tigers in the top of the seventh inning after getting hit by a pitch in the hand.
Sanchez was hit by Tigers reliever Drew Anderson on a fastball that ran up and in on him with two outs in the frame.

He was replaced on the basepaths by Austin Wells, who was just reinstated from the IL on Sunday, and would end up scoring on Amed Rosario‘s two-run homer that cut Detroit’s lead to 5-3.
Sanchez had gone 1-for-2 at the plate with an RBI-double in the second inning prior to the injury.
Since being called up on June 7, Sanchez is 6-for-19 (.316 batting average) with two doubles, three RBI, and a walk over 10 games.
