Zhang Weili and Joanna Jedrzejczyk put on one of the greatest fights in MMA history and that’s landed them a UFC Hall of Fame induction.

During Saturday’s UFC 326 broadcast, it was announced that Zhang and Jedrzejczyk first epic encounter is the next fight to be added to the Hall of Fame’s Fight Wing.

Zhang and Jedrzejczyk first crossed paths at UFC 248 in March 2020, with Zhang going for the first defense of the strawweight title, a belt that Jedrzejczyk had successfully defended five straight times (still a UFC record). On that fateful night in Las Vegas, the two legends put on an unreal five-round performance that featured non-stop striking exchanges and an incredible show of endurance.

In the end, Zhang walked out with a split decision win, but both women were immediately praised for putting on one of the best fights of all time. They would rematch two years later at UFC 275, where Zhang knocked Jedrzejczyk out with a spinning backfist in what would be Jedrzejczyk’s last fight.

Two inductions have now been announced for the 2026 Hall of Fame ceremony, which is expected to take place during International Fight Week in July. Former UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz has already been confirmed to be joining the Modern Wing.

Jedrzejczyk is also in the Modern Wing, having been inducted in 2024 for her accomplishments. She will soon be a two-time inductee when she goes in again alongside Zhang. Other fights recently honored by the Hall of Fame include Israel Adesanya vs, Kelvin Gastelum (2025), Mauricio “Shogun” Rua vs. Dan Henderson (2018), and Forrest Griffin vs. Stephan Bonnar (2013, inaugural induction).
