“50 Years Old and Miserable”: Former NFL Player Slams Jemele Hill Amid Trans Debate in WNBA

As the debate around trans athletes in women’s sports intensifies, former NFL player Breiden Fehoko has criticized Jemele Hill for her strong opinions on the matter.

Fehoko, who had a brief spell in the NFL between 2020 and 2024, voiced his disapproval of Hill’s tweets, citing an alleged quote from her book.

“Jemele Hill is 50 years old and miserable. Don’t ever sit here and tell fathers and mothers how to feel about defending their daughters in sports when you wholeheartedly stated in a book, “you have no desire or calling to be a mother.”

The debate over trans athletes in women’s sports gained steam after Sophie Cunningham‘s comments in an ESPN feature in July. The Indiana Fever guard called for trans athletes to be barred from women’s sports, citing the importance of protecting young girls in a locker room.
