We’ve made it through another week folks. The Final Four is right around the corner, or so I’ve heard, despite my hope that they would cancel the rest of the tournament after last weekend. Fletcher Loyer is preparing to compete in the Final Four Three Point shootout as I type this. And I hope you’ve got two days off from work where you can try to get outside and enjoy life with those you love. But, the end of the week also means that we are ready to share results from this week’s survey questions.
The first question was, to me, the big one. How do you gauge this men’s basketball season? Was it a success because they made it to the Elite Eight and won the Big Ten Tournament Championship? Lofty expectations coming into the season so let’s see.
I think it’s remarkable that 80% considered this season a success. To be clear I count myself among that 80% but the internet can often highlight the angriest voices and so I think my perspective on what the fanbase thought was a bit twisted.

Next, are we rooting for or against the Big Ten in this weekend’s Final Four?
I find this one hard to believe, but the numbers are the numbers. 88% of respondents are rooting for the Big Ten to break the long national title drought. I guess not many are believers that one Big Ten team’s success is a failure for my team. You can still place a wager over at FanDuel if you’d like to put your money where your mouth is.
So there you have it. Let’s enjoy a long weekend of more basketball. As much as we can without Purdue at least.
