They’ve signed Megan McConnell to a contract — she’s the sister of NBA guard T.J. McConnell of the Indiana Pacers.
T.J. is a fan favorite in the Hoosier State. Megan will simply be trying to make the team.
The contract news came from reporter Scott Agness, who notes it’s a training camp contract for Megan.
Megan was a college standout at Duquesne but has not yet been able to break through in the WNBA.
She played a single WNBA game a year ago for the Phoenix Mercury. In that contest, she played 13 minutes and scored 3 points with 3 assists while grabbing a rebound and snatching a steal.

The Pacers are having a strong offseason, and there won’t be a ton of spots to seize on the back portion of the roster unless there are some injuries.
On the flip side, Megan has a useful enough skillset as a defensive-minded distributor that the Fever could choose to give her a real chance.
Of course, Indiana will want to see how she gels with Caitlin Clark. That’s how a lot of roster decisions have to be considered for the Fever. If a player fits well with the superstar, that’s a big factor in her favor.
It remains to be seen whether Megan will make the Fever, but she’s getting a chance, and her supportive brother will surely be rooting her on.
