Members of the NCAA championship winning UCLA women’s basketball team threw out the first pitch for the Wednesday night Los Angeles Dodgers–New York Mets series finale at Dodger Stadium on Jackie Robinson Day.
Amanda Muse, Angela Dugalic and Kiki Rice were the three Bruins to appear in Los Angeles and throw out the first pitch while holding their 2026 NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship Trophy. To be precise, Rice threw the opening pitch from the mound while wearing a UCLA Jackie Robinson jersey to shortstop Mookie Betts.
The group of Bruins champions watched from the NBA and Lakers’ legend Earvin “Magic” Johnson’s suite as the Dodgers won the game 8-2 and completed the sweep against the Mets.
This is only the latest acknowledgement from a professional Los Angeles sports team to the female Bruins for bringing UCLA their first NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship.
