The football program’s defensive crew is stoked to have newly re-hired Texas defensive coordinator Will Muschamp on their side, rather than on the side of one of the program’s numerous Southeastern Conference foes, like Georgia, where Muschamp helped lead more than one historic defensive unit.
Among those players is Longhorns starting safety Jelani McDonald, who recently spoke up on Muschamp’s contributions throughout the offseason so far.

“His intensity pours out on the whole team. The energy he brings to practice. His professionalism is just so high. We have to follow him and pour into what he’s going to build,” McDonald told Hook ‘Em Headlines earlier this week.
Brick by brick, it seems as though Muschamp is building an absolute unit within Texas’ defensive culture.
